Our safety & work footwear capabilities

  • Steel & composite toe-cap builds
  • Slip-, oil- & heat-resistant outsoles
  • Puncture-resistant midsole plates (steel & textile)
  • Anti-static (ESD), EH & metatarsal options
  • Non-safety occupational & service styles

Styles we manufacture

As a safety shoe manufacturer — a direct safety & work footwear factory and supplier rather than a broker, and the exporter of record on your shipment — we cover Work Boot Factory, Work Shoe Manufacturer, Steel Toe Shoe Factory, Composite Toe Shoe Factory, Occupational Footwear Factory and more, developed to your design and target price.

Every style below can run as OEM (you supply the design and spec), ODM (you pick from our developed styles and we adapt them), private label (our build, your brand) or full-custom development from a sketch or reference sample.

Steel toe shoes
The baseline protective toe: heavier, cheaper, and it triggers metal detectors. Specify the impact rating you need (200 J is the common EN ISO 20345 requirement) and we build to it.
Composite toe shoes
Non-metallic toe cap — lighter, thermally neutral, passes metal detectors. Same protection class as steel when specified correctly, at a higher material cost.
Puncture-resistant shoes
A midsole plate (steel) or textile anti-penetration insert (non-metallic). The textile insert covers more of the footprint and adds less weight; the steel plate is cheaper. Both are built to the class you specify.
ESD / antistatic shoes
Electrical resistance is a property of the whole shoe, not just the outsole — insole, lining and outsole compound all matter. Tell us the resistance window your site requires and we build the stack to it.
Work boots
Boot-height protective footwear, often with a padded collar, oil-resistant outsole and water-resistant upper. This is the highest-volume safety build for most distributors.
Industrial shoes
Non-toe-cap occupational footwear for logistics, food processing and light industry: slip-resistant outsoles, easy wipe-clean uppers, all-day comfort footbeds.
Standards and testing
We manufacture to the standard you name (EN ISO 20345 / 20347 and equivalents). Certification belongs to the buyer's programme; test reports can be arranged through accredited third-party labs so your market paperwork holds up.

Safety footwear programmes

Building a safety footwear line: what to decide before you order

Most of our safety-footwear buyers are PPE distributors, workwear suppliers and private-label brands. The shoe itself is rarely the hard part — the delays come from an unclear spec or a certification route that starts too late. These are the decisions we ask every safety buyer to make up front.

Which standard your market expects

A safety shoe is certified to the standard of the market it is sold in — a shoe tested to one is not automatically compliant with another. Put the standard and the full marking line on your purchase order; it is what the lab tests against and what goes on the label.

What goes on the spec sheet

A complete spec lets us quote, sample and book certification testing in one pass instead of three:

  • Standard and class — e.g. EN ISO 20345 S1PS, S3S or S7S; ASTM F2413 I/75 C/75.
  • Toe cap — steel (thinner, lower cost) or composite (lighter, non-metallic, does not conduct heat or cold).
  • Penetration-resistant insert — none, steel (P), or non-metallic PL / PS. The choice changes flexibility, weight and the class code.
  • Slip resistance — the 2022 baseline applies to every shoe; add SR if your end users work on oily or glycerol-contaminated floors.
  • Additional protection — antistatic or ESD, electrical hazard (EH), heat-resistant outsole (HRO), water resistance (WR), metatarsal (M), cold or heat insulation (CI / HI).
  • Upper, lining and outsole — leather grade or textile, lining, PU, PU/rubber or rubber outsole compound.
  • Marking and packaging — the inside label carries the standard, class code, size, manufacturer identification and date of manufacture; plus your brand, box, carton marks and barcodes.

Who holds the CE certificate — and what we provide

Safety footwear is Category II PPE under Regulation (EU) 2016/425: each model needs an EU type-examination by a notified body, and production must then conform to the certified type. The certificate is issued to the manufacturer named on the product — for a private-label line that is usually your brand, which is why the route has to be agreed before sampling starts.

We build the certification into sampling rather than after it: we produce the test pairs, arrange toe-cap, penetration, slip and antistatic testing through accredited third-party laboratories (SGS, Intertek, BV, SATRA) and prepare the materials and construction information the notified body asks for. In bulk, the approved materials and build are held constant so every batch matches the certified type.

Quality, testing & compliance

How we control quality on every safety & work footwear order

Materials and finished shoes are built to documented physical-testing and QC standards — aligned to Chinese national (GB) and international norms — with a 6-stage quality process and final AQL inspection before shipment.

Physical testing

Toe-cap impact/compression, slip resistance and puncture resistance are tested to the safety standard your market requires; certification can be arranged through accredited labs.

Testing & standards →

AQL inspection

Final inspection uses random, non-consecutive AQL sampling with a three-tier defect grade — Class A inspected to a strict AQL 0.065. Any Class A defect rejects the batch.

Factory & QC →

Chemical compliance

Built to EU REACH and your own RSL, with accredited third-party lab reports (SGS, Intertek, BV-type) on request — so you import with confidence.

FAQ

Safety & Work Footwear — buyer questions

What is the difference between S1, S1P, S2 and S3 safety shoes?

They are protection classes under EN ISO 20345. All of them have a toe cap tested to 200 joules. S1 adds a closed heel, antistatic properties and energy absorption in the heel. S1P adds a puncture-resistant midsole. S2 is S1 plus water penetration resistance of the upper. S3 is S2 plus puncture resistance and a cleated outsole. Tell us the class your market requires and we build to it.

Steel toe cap or composite toe cap — which should we specify?

Both meet the same 200-joule impact requirement when correctly built. Steel is thinner for the same protection and costs less. Composite is lighter, does not conduct heat or cold and is non-metallic, which matters where footwear has to pass metal detection. Composite caps are usually slightly bulkier at the toe, so the last and pattern have to allow for it. We build either; the choice is normally driven by the end user’s environment and your price point.

Do you still build to SRA, SRB and SRC slip resistance?

Those were the slip ratings of the 2011 edition. Under EN ISO 20345:2022 they were withdrawn: every safety shoe must now pass a baseline slip test on ceramic tile with detergent, and the optional SR mark adds a test on tile with glycerol for oily floors. Older certificates still show SRA, SRB or SRC, so for a new programme we build and test to the 2022 requirement and add SR where your end users need it. Slip resistance depends on the finished sole compound and tread, so it is confirmed on the production sole, not assumed from the design.

Can you supply third-party test reports and certification?

Yes. Toe-cap impact and compression, puncture resistance, slip resistance and antistatic properties are tested to the standard your market requires, through accredited third-party laboratories (SGS, Intertek, BV-type). We can arrange testing and certification for the build; note that CE marking for PPE requires the certificate to be held by the party placing the product on the EU market, so we prepare the technical evidence your compliance route needs.

What are realistic lead times for a work footwear program?

Samples take 2–4 weeks. Bulk production runs 30–60 days depending on materials, toe-cap and midsole sourcing and quantity. Certification testing, if required, runs in parallel with sampling rather than after it — building that into your timeline is usually the difference between shipping on season and missing it.

Can you handle multi-size, multi-width industrial contracts?

Yes. Occupational programs typically run wide size ranges and repeat orders rather than one seasonal drop, which suits our setup: MOQ is 1,200 pairs per style (split across 2–3 colours) across our own factory plus a selected partner-factory network, with capacity of 200,000+ pairs per month. Size curve, packing and labelling are confirmed in writing before production.

Do you offer OEM and ODM?

Both. With OEM we build to your design and specs; with ODM we develop new designs with you from concept. We also do private-label branding, labels and packaging.

Are you a factory or a trading company?

We are a footwear trading & manufacturing partner — our own factory plus a selected partner-factory network, with product development, quality control and export handled in-house. You get factory pricing with the service of a sourcing partner.
